The Frey Foundation in Grand Rapids presented 25, $2,000 Artist Seed Grants for the seventh installment of ArtPrize. It’s the second year the foundation has presented the grants.

Don’t be surprised to see tour buses rolling into downtown Grand Rapids for ArtPrize 2015, or even ArtPrize 2014, which begins Sept. 24. The American Bus Association just named ArtPrize one of North America’s 100 Best Events for 2015.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, with a variety of skills and interests, and with the desire to help make their community a better place. One of the biggest volunteer opportunities of the year is right around the corner, with over a thousand positions to fill.
ArtPrize organizers announced Wednesday they will display two of the previous grand prize winners’ work during ArtPrize 2014.
Both pieces, “Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore” by Ann Loveless and “Elephants” by Adonna Khare, will be displayed at the ArtPrize Hub from September 24 to October 12, 2014, according to an ArtPrize release.
