The official start to the new school year is right around the corner, but before heading into the classroom, two students from the West Michigan Aviation Academy received some hands-on training at a local airfield.

Boxed Water Is Better shouts the carton, which also happens to be the self-explanatory brand name and sales pitch for a very old product being marketed in a very new way. Actually, cartons are nothing new for milk, juice and even wine. So why not water? And why not a young entrepreneur from Michigan — where we’ve got plenty of water, but not enough young people or new ideas?
The water treatment system being used is called Hydraid, an innovative filter with enhanced by technology provided by Amway and implemented through Safe Water Team and partners on the ground.
“It’s a very exciting market with lots of opportunities,” he says. “With all the battery companies that are coming to west Michigan, the area is developing many competitive advantages and a core knowledge in that important sector.”
