Elissa received her M.D. from the University of Michigan. She is involved in the RDV Corporation Lifelong Learning Committee, and is an active board member of the Dick and Betsy DeVos Family Foundation. Elissa earned her B.A. in Architecture from Princeton University. Before medical school, Elissa researched Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases at the Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids. Elissa and her husband, Nate, live in Ann Arbor with their daughter, Willa.
